A new stream of Cybersecurity : design and visualization

You don’t need to be a technical guru to contribute to the cybersecurity field, on this post we get to hear a story of a co-worker, a friend of mine on their journey into Cyber Threat Intelligence — who made it their mission to raise awareness on the importance of designs and visualization on deliverables.

I have always needed a visual anchor for the problems I set out to solve. Being able to model a problem in three dimensions and cut it into cross-sections makes the elements requiring remediation somehow
more accessible, and applicable remedies more apparent. The skills required to produce these visualizations and the path taken to this expertise were informed by observations about how to be
valuable and out of a desire to build a niche.

Suffice it to say, this story does not proceed in a straight line. My graduate thesis concerned whether the recognition of the human right to water by the United Nations in 2012 could actually help realize the goal of equitable access to clean and safe drinking water for the most vulnerable.
